MaxiJazz Dance Studio
Was established by Principal Teacher Maxine Johnson in 1986, the studio taught a variety of dance styles including Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Cheer Leading & Musical Theatre. In 2000 Maxine decided to follow her life long passion to teach Ballroom and opened
MaxiJazz BALLROOM DANCE STUDIO. Maxine handed the Jazz School to her daughter Ylanda Johnson and Ylanda's Maxi-Jazz Studio still teaches all of those styles of Dance under Ylanda's expert guidance. Ylanda's Website details are available on our friends - links page.
Maxine is an accredited Coach &
Adjudicator. Maxine is a member of the executive committee of A.N.D.A. and is the area regional representative for Dancesport Australia.
Maxine adjudicates regularly at many major Dance events throughout Australia, and is often invited to compare Gala Events on the Dance
calender.
Maxine coaches, choreographs Dancesport Syllabus in Ballroom, Latin American & New Vogue styles. At Maxijazz we have couples competing in all age groups, Juvenile, Junior, Youth, Adult, Masters 1 & 2. All of our couples have chosen Dance as their sport and compete at national events with great success.
Maxine and her coaches enjoy sharing the pleasure of Dance, and offer Social and Beginner classes for all ages from children to adults. These classes are conducted in a very friendly & relaxed atmosphere and if you ever wish to further your Dancing career Private Lessons are always available.
We at MaxiJazz are Romantics and also specialize in private lessons for Bridal Couples and their Wedding Party.
Your Bridal Dance is originally choreographed to your own selection of music.
